February 25, 2006 - Lawrenceville Pre-School Magic Show
Mercer-Bucks alumnae members along with Zeta Lambda and Iota Gamma volunteered at the children’s Magic Show. Members and Collegians spent the afternoon face-painting, running games, and putting on temporary tattoos. Smiles were all around this very successful event. Mercer-Bucks member, Michelle Miloszar, helped to organize this wonderful event at the school. |
Race for the Cure, Princeton NJ
Unfortunately this years Race for the Cure in NJ was can celled due to excessive rain. Mercer-Bucks looks forward to next years Race.
Philadelphia Courage Night
Mercer-Bucks members and collegians descended on the City of Brotherly love in October of 2004 to assist the Philadelphia Courage Committee in the first annual Philadelphia Courage Night 2004. Sisters handed out gift bags, served food and cocktails, checked guests' coats, and sold memorial roses. This event featured honored guest, author of Why I Wore Lipstick to My Mastectomy, and courage night founder Geralyn Lucas. Sister Kat Swift, a member of the Philadelphia Courage Committee, spoke on behalf of Zeta Tau Alpha regarding our pursuits in Breast Cancer Awareness Education.

Pink Lids for a Cure
During the Month of December, Mercer-Bucks members collected Pink Yoplait lids and sent them back to Yoplait in an effort to help raise money for Breast Cancer Research.
Clothing Drive
During "Everything Green" on March 10, 2006, Mercer-Bucks members collected gently used clothing and evening wear. Donations for the gently used clothing drive will be donated to Princeton University’s Clothing Drive which helps provide women with appropriate clothes for job interviews. The Prom dresses will be donated to Colts Neck high school for disabled children.
Pet Supply Drive
During "Everything Green" on March 10, 2006, Mercer-Bucks members collected pet supplies which were later donated to a local animal shelter.
Magazine Drive
Mercer-Bucks members will be collecting magazines during its April 6, 2006 Alumnae Collegiate Senior Initiation Ceremony and Dessert Reception. All magazines collected will be brought to ZETA Day on April 8, 2006 in support of this worthy service project.
Canned Food Drive
During the April 6, 2006 Alumnae Collegiate Senior Initiation Ceremony and Dessert Reception will collect canned food which will be donated to a local soup kitchen.
Adopt-A-Highway
April 9, 2006, Mercer-Bucks members will join Iota Gamma during Iota Gamma’s Adopt-A-Highway service project.
BMW Drive for a Cure
April 18, 2006, Several Mercer-Bucks Members will go out and test drive BMW at Princeton BMW. For every mile driven, BMW will donate $1 to the Komen Foundation.
